Full of Grace

Today Catholic's celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. I want to just touch on one thought I have on this teaching, that some may not understand or accept....

We read in the Gospel of Luke 1:28 (RSV, CE),  And he came to her and said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!"

FULL OF GRACE, if "something is full, there is no room for anything else..... so in my Lectio Divina (Sacred Reading) on this passage in Scripture I hear the Angel telling Mary that she has been given so much grace (favor) from God, that there was no room for sin.... for if we also ask to be filled with grace and follow the path that Jesus has laid out for us, we also as created beings,  can be free from sin.....

I thank God for His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church, and my prayer is that we will all call upon our Blessed Mother to intercede for us all.

Wisdom.... Ps 147:5 Great is our Lord, vast in power, with wisdom beyond measure.

Advent - A time of Preparation

As we continue on this Journey, we are now two weeks into the Advent season, and is this not a blessing for us to take the time to prepare for the most awesome "present" of all, the coming of Jesus, Emmanuel, (God with us)?

I know how hard it is to make time, especial during this time of the year to prepare for His coming, but do we think of the time that I am really speaking of here, yes we should celebrate with great joy over the Birth of our saviour, but should we not make time to quiet down, to examine our lives, our consciences for the time when Jesus comes again...

In keeping with the topic of Wisdom, please watch this video with me and my prayer is that you will find some wisdom in this homily.

What is Wisdom, or how do we find it...

What a blessing it is for us to be able to "Blog".  The definition for a blog which I found at dictionary.com is: "a Web site containing the writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other Web sites".

So with that said, it is my hope that I/we can share our daily thoughts, or when ever we feel the need to share our opinions, observations, and life experiences with others.  What I hope to blog about is on the topic of Wisdom.... What is Wisdom, how do we find it... is what I consider to be Wisdom or a wise observation also what you think, what is true wisdom or WHO is Wisdom.... Hoping you will share with me this journey we ALL are on, this journey called Life.

I will end with this Bible passage that I hope will help you to reflect on my question of what or who is Wisdom:
 from the Book of Proverbs, Chapter 2, 1-10,

Like a book that I am reading now on prayer, "Praying scripture for a change" by Dr. Tim Gray; if I may paraphrase, let us squeeze all the juice out that is contained in Scripture.

"Happy is the man who finds wisdom" Prov 3:13
